Accessibility Statement
Last reviewed: October 26, 2026
Our commitment
Patient Protect LLC is committed to ensuring that our website (patient-protect.com) and its free tools are accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA and continuously work to improve the experience for all users.
What we do
- Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard. A skip-to-main-content link is available on every page.
- Screen reader support: We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and visually hidden text to ensure assistive technologies can interpret our content.
- Focus indicators: Visible focus rings appear on interactive elements when navigating with a keyboard.
- Reduced motion: Animations respect the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query and are suppressed when a visitor has indicated that preference. - Color contrast: Text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast requirements against their backgrounds.
- Form labels: All form inputs carry accessible labels, either visible or via screen-reader-only text.
- Video content: Product walkthrough videos use a click-to-play pattern with descriptive labels. Captioned versions are available for social distribution.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following areas where our accessibility may fall short of WCAG 2.1 AA, and we are working to address them:
- Some dynamic content updates (such as the live breach intelligence ticker) do not currently use
aria-liveregions to announce changes to screen readers. - The ePHI Data Flow Mapper is a canvas-based interactive tool whose drag-and-drop interface has limited keyboard and screen reader support. We are evaluating accessible alternatives for this tool.
- Some third-party embedded content (Mux video player, Cloudflare Turnstile) is governed by the accessibility practices of those providers.
Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website or have suggestions for improvement, we want to hear from you.
Use our contact form and mention the accessibility issue you encountered. We will route it to the right person.
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within five business days and to resolve reported barriers as promptly as possible.
Conformance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, as described in the known limitations above.
